"Light for the future" True to this company slogan, Betec has enjoyed a high international reputation as an innovative luminaire manufacturer for 40 years. Its founder and chief designer Horst Lettenmayer is leading the company into a new age of light together with his successor, Mrs. Julia-Alina Lettenmayer as chairman of the board. The early decision of direction, not to follow the universal trend, but the individual requirement of design and technology, were prerequisites for the success that continues to this day. The wide variety of different design luminaires, each dominating in its technical content, is already visible with the first product after the foundation of the company. The "Clarus" painting luminaire was a revolution in light in a minimised guise. In the meantime, it has become a cult product and has been awarded the German Art Protection as well as renowned international design prizes. Further developments focused on the areas of living space, office, bathroom and architectural lighting. As a result, lamps were created that illuminate the respective areas with the "Light for the Future ®". The efforts to still produce lamps as individual pieces by hand, to take into account the personal wishes of the customer and to use selected materials contradict today's trend - mass instead of class.
