Original 1227 Brass Desk Lamp
[George Carwardine]
Description
The Anglepoise Original 1227 Brass Desk Lamp is a desk lamp with brass elements. Both the lamp shade and the lamp arms are made of aluminum. Thanks to proven tension spring technology, the lamp arms can be readjusted again and again. Cause of this, they keep every adjusted position. This tension spring technology was developed by industrial designer George Carwardine as early as 1935 for the first Original 1227 Desk Lamp, and is still used today in many lamps made by the British manufacturer. The lamp shade of the Original 1227 Brass Desk Lamp can be swivelled and rotated. This table lamp is available in jet black, ink blue and elephant grey. The lamp shade, the lamp arms and the lamp base are then all in this surface. The lamp shade is glossy lacquered in every version. The base is made of cast iron with a glossy steel cover. An on/off switch is integrated on the cable. Compact fluorescent lamps or LED retrofit are suitable as light sources.
