Kurage
[Luca Nichetto & Nendo]
Description
"Kurage" meant in Japanese "jellyfish" and so the table lamp Foscarini Kurage looks also. Luca Nichetto and designers Nendo designed it together on the basis of this sea animal. The diffuser is made of white Washi paper from Japan which is extracted from mulberry fibers. Like a dome this diffuser is placed on four thin legs from untreated ash wood.
The lamp holder of Kurage is made of white ceramic, here a fluorescent lamp with a maximum of 12 watts is inserted at power. The cable was wrapped with paper fibers.
