The Globe 228 OR
[Joe Colombo]
Description
The Oluce The Globe 228 OR table lamp is based on a concept by Joe Colombo from 1964, which was reinterpreted by Oluce in 2015. The light of this lamp is emitted by a cylindrical metal socket that is integrated into a transparent glass. The light source is directed downwards at an angle of 45 degrees, so that the light is emitted downwards and partially reflected from there into the room. The glass can be rotated sideways in the base of the lamp. The glass is mouth-blown and has a spherical shape with a diameter of 30 cm. The base of the lamp has a length and a width of 30 cm. The lamp has a surface of gold satin anodised bronze. The Globe 228 OR can be operated with E27 halogen lamps or LED retrofit lamps. The lamp is also available with a satin nickel surface.
